History

It all started in 1940 by understanding the variables that impact the flavor of the tomato.

Everything began around 1940 in Almería, Spain, when my grandfather, a farmer, decided to specialize in tomato production, focusing specifically on flavor and esthetic.

In those times, the themes of long shelf-life and high productivity still didn't exist, with all the efforts focused on the origin of the planting in order to produce the best tomato in the valley.

Our family has always been traditional, with deep-rooted values that have been passed on from generation to generation; now you'll understand why I am sitting here telling you this story.

I am currently a farmer, and was born in the USA. I carry the land in my blood and I am passionate about technology, which allowed me to see how I could reach and possibly surpass my grandfather regarding the flavor of his tomatoes.

Many variables go into producing good flavors, with one of the most important being the land and the climate where you sow. While trying to find a place to produce the best tomato in the world, everything led us to Mexico, where, in addition to its agricultural bounties, coincides with our beliefs in the value of family and staying true to our word.

In 2015, Viva Orgánica was born, a company with American origins that produces organic vegetables in Mexico with the ability to export to anywhere in the world.
